Watchtower Loses an Appeal

it has zealously advocated its position and lost multiple times.
yet, it cavalierly refuses to acknowledge the consequences of these losses and the validity of the court's orders requiring it to produce documents in response to request number 12. and, in a further act of defiance, watchtower informed the court that it would not comply with the march 25, 2016 order 39 requiring it to produce documents responsive to request number 12. the court, following lopez, supra, 246 cal.app.4th 566, as an incremental step toward terminating sanctions if watchtower persists in its unjustified conduct, imposed monetary sanctions.

by punkofnice ini'm gobsmacked.. the 7 rock star popes in warwick know darned well that the 2 witness rule allows child rapists to get away with their crime.. geoff (whacko jacko) jackson was at the australian royal commission and should have seen first hand what a vile man made law the 2 witness rule is.. my question is, why do they still insist on this pervert protecting rule?.
i know it's a highly controlling cult but still...........................stuff my old boots, mate!.

And my point is that people accused of these crimes deserve the same rights to due process that any person has. In most cases, a person on the registry to can go to someone's door and knock on it with any pretence, and it is not against the law. if someone wants to break the law they won't need an organization to give them cover to meet their victims, they are going to find ways to meet them no matter what.

I agree that there have to be some changes to Watchtower policy on this but I don't agree that just because someone is convicted of this that they have to be treated like a pariah for the rest of their lives. There have to be reasonable steps to protect other potential victims but that doesn't mean that they have to live outside of society and they don't get the same rights that other people get. edit: that includes the right to be considered until proven guilty by evidence and not for a lynch mob to be formed immediately just because of an accusation.
I know of a gay guy from China he married an American who was convicted at 19 for what is classified as Child Abuse and now my friend cannot be sponsored for citizenship by his husband. They have no intention ever of having children, and my friend is not at risk from harm from his husband but they are not allowed to file for citizenship ever through the person that he loves.

Then if you don't think that paedophiles cannot be changed then you need to lobby lawmakers to change the law. There has to be a reason why legislatures don't put a mandatory minimum sentence of life on paedophiles, it may not be a good reason but that is what legislatures have decided.

They can ask for a reconsideration by the Appeals Court. They can also petition to be heard by the California State Supreme Court, but the Supreme Court is not obligated to take on the case.

If the two witness rule is used only for internal discipline I feel it is their right to do that. There is a lot of discussion on this forum and others about how DFing is, so yes there should be a high standard to DF someone. It should be more than just one person who saw someone do something no matter what, because there are false accusations for everything, and yes even for child abuse. If you look at the Irish article that was posted just a few weeks ago there was a case where the authorities couldn't bring charges against the person suspected fo child abuse because there was no corroborating evidence and the only other witness recanted their statement.
Second is in most civilized societies the purpose of prison is not just to punish someone but to keep the community safe and to try and get the person to become rehabilitated. That is why they are called correctional facilities because the hope is to correct someone's attitude and actions. Those who commit child abuse are let out into society and they should be given a right to try and live a normal life. They aren't allowed to work in professions that allow them easy access to those that are vulnerable, but that doesn't mean that they have forfeited their right to live as a human forever. Once they have completed the mandated time they should be allowed to continue on in their life and that includes joining voluntary associations.
